We provide a wide range of boards suitable for intermediate and advanced surfers. From high-performance shortboards to funboards and step-ups, our local surf guides will help you choose the best board for the conditions and your goals. You’re also free to swap boards during your stay to match your evolving confidence and technique.

Why This Trip Is Designed for Intermediate & Advanced Surfers

Red Island and G-Land offer waves with power, shape, and speed. While they can be mellow on the right day, the reef breaks and paddle-outs are not suitable for beginners. This trip is ideal if you:
  • Can confidently paddle out through moderate surf
  • Consistently catch green waves
  • Are working on maneuvers like cutbacks, bottom turns, floaters, or barrels
  • Are ready to challenge yourself and surf longer, cleaner waves

We provide surf guiding (not basic instruction), and the program is aimed at unlocking the next phase of your surfing.

Red Island & G-Land: What to Expect

Red Island (Pulau Merah)
Known for its consistent A-frame peaks, mellow power, and sandy bottom, Red Island is a perfect warm-up for what’s ahead. It’s also a peaceful, uncrowded surf town with stunning sunsets, lush hills, and simple warungs for post-surf meals.
G-Land (Plengkung Beach)
One of the most iconic left-handers in the world, G-Land offers multiple sections that cater to different levels of intermediate to advanced surfers. Depending on the swell, you can expect:
  • Long rides with clean walls
  • Tubes (on bigger days)
  • Fast sections for turns and maneuvers
  • Quiet, pristine jungle surroundings

The surf zone sits within Alas Purwo National Park, a sacred and protected natural area. Getting there is half the adventure, with a scenic Jeep ride through dense jungle paths.

Meet at our surf camp, load up, and hit the road. Enjoy scenic views on the way to Red Island. Settle into your private room and grab your first taste of Javanese food.

Morning surf, coaching session, beach chill, and optional second session. Sunset drinks and bonfire on the beach.

Wake early for Jeep transfer into Alas Purwo. Spend full days chasing waves, rotating surf zones depending on swell and tide. Return in the late afternoon for showers, photo reviews, and warung dinners.

Enjoy one last slow morning, pack up, then head back to Bali. Celebrate the trip with a barbecue feast and relive the memories through our surf photo and video showcase.

The food was always great, and now they have a lunch menu! The biggest stand out for me are the surf instructors. Incredibly kind and helpful. They genuinely want you to succeed and do better. Having someone give you pointers in the water is great! Also the surf analysis is a great way to see areas you need to work on and have the instructors break things down. Thank you for a great week!
