First time surfing

Surfing is on your Bali list. You don't know what to expect and you're wondering whether you'll actually stand up. You will. Most guests do on day one.

One coached surf session per day, three hours in the water, maximum three students per coach. Not two sessions, and here's why: Bali's waves aren't ideal for beginners all day, and your body needs time to absorb what it learned. The rest of your day is land practice, theory, video analysis and yoga. It's a complete programme, not just time in the water.

On the community side: nobody eats alone here. Throughout the week there are social events — movie nights, beer pong, music quiz — and Saturday is our legendary BBQ night. It's a proper social scene, just not a party hostel. Things wind down at 11pm. The energy is real but the mornings are early, and everyone respects that.

You can stand up, you've caught some waves — but maybe it's been a while since you last surfed and you want to strengthen your skills and get the vibes back before committing to a more intense programme. This package is for you. The coaching meets you where you are. Fundamentals first, confidence second.

Yes — and sooner than you think. Most of our guests stand up on their first day. Our coaches have taught complete beginners since 2018 and know exactly how to get you there safely and quickly. You don't need any experience, any particular fitness level, or any prior knowledge. Just show up.

Yes. Two out of three of our guests are women traveling alone — it is genuinely the most common profile at our camp. The environment is welcoming, the staff are present, the rooms are private and cleaned daily, and the community means you are never navigating anything alone. We take the comfort and safety of our guests seriously. It is not an afterthought.

One session per day, six days a week, three hours in the water. We know some camps promise two sessions — but for beginners, one well-coached three-hour session is more effective than two rushed ones. Your body needs time to absorb what it learned. The rest of your day is yours. You are in Bali.

Everything except airport transfers and lunch. Your surf session, surfboard, rashguard, all beach transport, daily breakfast, land practice, surf theory once a week, video analysis once a week, yoga six days a week, community events throughout the week and the Saturday BBQ dinner. Not at all. The social scene is real — movie nights, beer pong, music quiz throughout the week and our legendary Saturday BBQ night. But things wind down at 11pm. The mornings are early and everyone respects that. It is a surf camp first. The community is warm but the programme is the priority.

No level required. Complete beginners are welcome and make up the majority of our guests. If you are an intermediate or advanced surfer looking for intensive coaching, our Surf Progression or Surf Academy packages are better suited to your goals.
