Company Overview

Sōleïa Surf provides surf lessons and accommodation for international travelers visiting Bali. Our purpose-built environment is created by surfers, for surfers, offering both a sense of community and world-class surf training.

Sōleïa Surf Camp

The commercial entity for guests seeking short-term stays (less than 4 weeks). This product delivers surf lessons and accommodation for people wishing to learn or improve their surfing while enjoying Bali.

Sōleïa Surf Academy

Caters to guests committed to significantly improving their surf skills over a longer period, offering intensive training with the goal of true progression.

Products and Services

  • Target Audience: Newcomers or beginner surfers (<20 hours of surfing experience), aged 18-35, primarily solo Western female travelers.
  • Motivations: Surfing is a bucket-list activity; desire to meet people, have fun, and explore Bali destinations like Ubud, Nusa Penida, Uluwatu, and Lombok or the Gili Islands.
  • Reasons to Book: Safety, comfort, community, and an all-inclusive hassle-free program.
  • Product Experience: Relaxed holiday surf schedule (departures around 9am) allowing time for morning yoga and breakfast. Lessons are focused yet approachable, with a maximum of 3 hours’ surf practice per day. Sundays are rest days.
  • Target Audience: Intermediate surfers, aged 25-35, mostly solo Western women.
  • Motivations: Dedicated to surfing; main reason for their trip is progression, challenge, and personal achievement.
  • Reasons to Book: High-caliber coaching, a training-focused experience, top equipment, access to quality waves, and guaranteed improvement not found elsewhere.
  • Product Experience: Surf-centric structure with early morning departures (~5:30am), 4-5 hours of surf lessons daily, surf theory, video analysis, land training, and surfskating. Surfing is offered every day.

The ultimate program for individuals seeking meaningful transformation—either a major leap in surfing ability or a life-changing adventure during a gap year, sabbatical, or career break.

Program Structure

  • Duration: 12, 8, or 4 weeks of intensive surf training
  • Features: High-level surf coaching, frequent video analysis, detailed surf theory, surfskate and land-based practice, apnea training, and surf trips to neighboring islands.
  • Partnership: Program operates as an ISA-endorsed Marine Center of Excellence.
  • Optional: Enrollment in the ISA Surf Instructor Course for certification.

  • Profile: Aged 25-40, highly educated professionals, established career, often on sabbatical or career break.
  • Mindset: High-achievers dissatisfied with their current surf plateau. Driven to make real progress and thrive on challenge.
